Radd Wilier returned the opening second half kickoff to the Uintah 39, but a penalty pushed the Utes back to the 33. Devere Hunt recovered a Uintah fumble at the Ute 28 yard line. Shawn Buchanan snared passes at the ten and one yard line and Ray Farnsworth ripped up the middle one yard for a touchdown with 7:11 left in the third quarter. However, Scott Hardman came to the rescue as he intercepted a Cougar pass at the Uintah 38 yard line. A penalty placed Uintah at the 39 and then Limb connected with Hardman for a 39 yard touchdown bomb with 1:47 left in the third quarter. Im a Union High School graduate, but I cover Uintah High School sports and so I decided that once the game was over I would run across the field with the Uintah Ute football players as I decided that Unions home field where the team had lost 20-- 0 wasnt too popular of a place to be located. Uintahs football players dashed across the football and practice fields in a quick and speedy fashion. I kept running along with them and couldnt stop to take a rest because I didnt want to be run over by the celebrating Utes. Once the Utes entered the small visiting teams lockerroom it was party time. The Uintah Utes jumped for joy and banged their helmets and The Uintah Utes are shouted, back Uintah players screamed and yelled at the top of their lungs as they celebrated being back in victory land. - ' It took a while for our center and quarterback to get used to get other.
