They have chosen Friday, Sept. 13 to become man and wife at the home Temple wedding unites Vernal couple in June Sheriljn Kay Jackson became the bride of Martell S. Benmon in the Ogden LDS Temple June 20 She is the daughter of Larry and LaRae Jackson and the grooms parents are Barton and Lois Benmon The nuptial rites were conducted by Leo Porter, the brides grand- father I n open house took place the evening of the wedding in Magna.Utah at the home of Corbin and Barbara Benmon and the couple were further feted at a reception June 21 at the Davis Ward Chapel in Vernal The bride chose a taffeta gown with a chiffon overlay resplendent w ith lace appliques, sequins and seed pearls which extended through rows of lace on the train Her waist length eil cascaded from a wreath of silk roses, pearl headed stephanotis and babys breath The brides bouquet was made of burgundy roses, pink carnations, white stephanotis, babys breath with pink and burgundy satin ribbons entwined Attending the bride were Kristie Manwaring, sister of the bride, Deah Benmon, sister of the groom, and Julie Bamnborough They were attired in two piece burgundy dresses with short cuffed sleeves, pleated bodices and skirts with a pink bow at the neckline Each held a long stemmed pink rose with burgundy ribbon and babys breath Mother of the bride and groom wore matching dresses of dusty pink, three quarter length sleeves, and small pleats on the bodice and skirts The groomsman was Chet Dahl, best man Decorating the hall were tables with pink and burgundy clothes, with of flowerbaskets The wedding party assembled before a background of white lattice with a pink chiffon drape and burgundy and pink flowers Those assisting with the reception were. Corbin and Barbara Benmon, Kevin and Becky receptionists, Jackson and Brad and Joyce Jackson; Layne Benmon and his finance Becky Groesbeck attended the guest book, gift bearers were Kyle and Quinn Benmon, and Mike and Tricia Jackson; Leora Dye, Dyanna Dye, Jeneil Dye and Beth Porter were at the gift table, servers w ere Darchell Sutton, Alyson Kinsey, Rachel Cook, Melissa Evans, and Kaylyn Nelson, others include: Sally Bastian, Susan Chandler, Jolene Kendall and Darlene Kinsey Michael John Muir and Cindy Lou Thompson, both of Vernal, issued Aug 29, 1985. a boy bom to Donna Aug and Rick Curtice. The wedding cake featured three with pink and burgundy roses A crystal replica of the Ogden LDS Temple was atop the cake and a picture of the bride and groom was reflected in a mirror on the bottom layer The cake was made by Becky Miglion, the grooms sister. Since returning from a honeymoon trip to Nauvoo and the surrounding LDS Church history sites, the couple has been residing in St George, Utah. Both Susan and Dennis are employed at the Bonanza Power Plant.
