It is generally believed that dolls appeal only to little girls. However a doll show sponsored by the Magna Senior Citizen Center, from 10:30 to 2 p.m. tomorrow (Friday), will demonstrate that there are plenty of older girls who find dolls a fascinating hobby. Jean Orton, director of the facility, said there will be big dolls, little dolls, antique dolls, storybook dolls and dolls of all nations, including three very large private doll In addition, there will be many seniors who will display their own first and last dolls (the one they were given in their infancy, and the one they received when they were on the threshold of becoming an adult). . Of interest to many long time residents here will be a set of ceramic dolls that were created for the 50th wedding anniversary of Tuck and Josie Thomas. They have been handed down for three generations and are now the property of Jean Orton. Although none of the dolls will be for sale, anyone who enjoys looking at dolls may visit the center on that day. They also may have lunch at the center by making reservations one day in advance. The suggested donation is $1.25 for those age 60 and older and $3.50 for anyone under that age. The menu will offer beef parmesan with rice pilaf, peas and carrots, melon and lemon pudding. In addition to the dolls and lunch, there will also be entertainment from 11 a.m. to noon. Georgia Royal Hardy, popular western vocalist, appear with a cowboy band from West Jordan.
