The Cancer Screening & Control Program, sponsored by the Utah Department of Health and affiliated with the Utah Division of the American Cancer Society, will be holding a womens cancer screening clinic at the following location : Kearns Family Life Center, 4115 West 5295 South, Kearns, Mondays, August 11 & 25, 1986, beginning at 5 until 7 p.m. Redwood Multipurpose Center, 3060 Lester Street, Mondays, August 14 & 28, 1986, beginning at 5 : 15 until 7 p.m. Appointments are necessary. The clinic will include a Pap test, pelvic and breast examination, blood pressure check, hemoccult kits for testing for colorectal cancer and health education information on risk factors, signs and symptoms of cancer and referral for appropriate medical follow-up- . All women regardless of religious affiliation , 20 years of age or older, or who are sexually active, who have not had a Pap test during the past year are encouraged to contact - star parties this summer. The Utah Old Time Fiddlers (Salt Lake Chapter) is sponsoring tne contest at 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 21 at the Salt Lake County Fairgrounds, spokesman Katie Tueller explained. The organization, which has over 200 members statewide and 60 in the Salt Lake Valley, will provide entertainment between competitions with a special performance scheduled for 8p.m.. The contest will be divided into three divisions, she explained. Juniors include those up to 15 years old, the general division runs from 15 to 55, and the senior division 55 and older. A $50 first prize is offered in the general division, with a $25 top prize in each of the other two categories. Second and third prizes in all categories will consist of merchandise donated by local music stores. There is a $5 entree fee and registrations will be taken until noon on the day of the contest, but early registrations are being encouraged.
