Registration is now going on for fall classes in The Land of at the Magna Learning Recreation Center. The staff at the Magna Recreation Center have added the program for 3 and this fall to round out child care programs at the facility. The classes will be offered Mondays through Fridays from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. except on holidays. There will be a variety of educational and recreational activities daily, along with supervision and guidance. In addition to offering the daily activities, lunch and a morning and afternoon snack will be served. This is a state licensed program, with tuition assistance available to those who meet specified guidelines. The program for is designed to fit the schedule of the youngster who is enrolled in kindergarten, or not enrolled in the program. Registration for the religious education program (CCD) for students in the through 12th grade range will begin the weekend of Aug. 4 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic church. Classes will begin on Sept. 21, but parents are being encouraged to register their children as early as possible so school personnel may know how many teachers, helpers and supplies are needed. Questions regarding the elementary CCD program, which includes children from through sixth grade, may be referred to Diane Taylor, coordinator for the group.
