Show 4B THE GREEN SHEET Thursday, June 19, 1986 Robert, Farol Jackson Note Golden Wedding The children of Robert and Farol will host a family dinner this evening, June 19th, to celebrate the Golden Wedding of their parents. The event will be held in their Taylorsville home. The two were married on June 19th, 1936 at the home of Farols parents, in Hunter, Utah. She is the former Farol Richardson. Bob worked for the U.S. Navy, Kennecott Copper, Union Pacific, PIE Trucking, Cantlay and Tanzola and IML Freight. In all these jobs he was a machinist and would rebuild and repair engines. He retired from IML Freight. Farol was employed at Auerbach Department store and at Jones Dairy in Taylorsville where she still Jackson is on a part time basis. The two lived in Salt Lake for a short time after their marriage, moved on to San LeAndro, Calif., then to Otto, Wyoming before returning to this area to make their home. They are both avid hunters and fishermen and have a home in Manila, Utah where they have spent most of the summers. They are the parents of six children. They are Bob of Pacificia, Calif., Duane, Juneau, Alaska; Gary, South Jordan; Howard, Alpine, Utah; Shirley (Mrs. Kent) Bass, South Jordan and David of Murray. They have 24 grandchildren and I two ' Bob And Adell Palmer Keith Huber Marries Lass From Star Valley Mark 50th Anniversary has been an artist since childhood and created the art of painting on mirrors which she has sold for over 45 years. She has illustrated many books and her own book, Butterfly Children is now being revised with music and songs written by her daughter, Terrie. Star Valley, Wyoming was the scene, on June 6th, where Laurie Barrus traded wedding vows with Keith Huber of Taylorsville. An outdoor western barbecue at the home of Jerry and Barbara Barrus, the brides parents, preceded the wedding, and was followed by a reception in Star Valley. An open house was held in the Taylorsville 13th ward house to also honor the wedded pair. The local event was hosted by the grooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo R. Huber of Taylorsville. The bride graduated from Star Valley high and attended the LDS Business College here. The groom graduated from Taylorsville high and has filled an LDS mission in Hermosillo, Mexico. He plans to attend Utah Technical College this fall, majoring in computer programming. Jan Barrus attended her sister as maid of honor and Karen Luthi and Jill Taylor were bridesmaids. Best man for the event was Steve Adell The honored pair were married June 25, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS temple, and, in the early years of the marriage lived in Riverton, West and South Jordan and Pleasant Grove. They moved back to South Jordan and lived there as their children grew up and then, in 1961, moved back to West Jordan where they now reside. Farming has always been Bobs main work interest, but also worked for the U.S. Mines in Lark, Utah and 25 years as an employee of EIMCO retiring in 1976. His musical talent of singing has been used all his life at programs, funerals and other occasions. Fishing has been his main hobby. organizations and their artistic talents have been used" often in various capacities. Mary Lynn Kofford, Dave Adams To Wed In Fall They have travelled much, including Hawaii, the Carribean, a winter in Arizona, to the eastern coast of the U.S. and into Canada. They are also planning a trip up north after their anniversary party. Margaret and Lloyd Kofford, Midvale, are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Mary Lynn to Dave Adams. The honored two are active in the LDS church, having served in many Repeat of a Sellout I They became the parents of four children, Delene (Mrs. Norman) Overman, Sandy; Terrie Lynne Deal; Penny Gene (Mrs. Tony) Perea, Magna and Richard Dee. Dave is a graduate of Hillcrest high, has completed one year at Weber State College and will continue his education at the University of Utah, majoring in business management.
