R-l-- t I County Fair Will Be Held In Murray Debbie Hiatt Miss West Valley - Eight Lasses Eye Crown Next Week WEST VALLEY. When Miss West Valley is named here next week, she will be crowned by the one who assumed the title four years ago. The pageant is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, June 27, in the Granger high auditorium. Thats where Cathy Davis Cameron will relinquish the tiara she won in 1982, the last year a Miss West Valley Pageant was held here. She also reigned a year later as queen of the Days of 47. The winner of the 1986 pageant will be chosen from a field of eight, seven of whom have Granger high ties and one is a Taylorsville high graduate. Revived this year following a lapse of four years, the pageant is being conducted by the West Valley Exchange club, with Doug Sanderson serving as chairman. Sanderson said those buying a ticket to the pageant will also receive a ticket for prize drawings to be conducted during West Valley Days in Granger park on June 28. Members of the County Fair Board stressed Wednesday morning that there will be a county fair this summer and that it will be held at the traditional location. Members of the board are concerned that news media coverage of the County Commissions proposal to move the fair to the State Fairgrounds or Salt Palace might cause some of the usual participants to forego participation this year. The spokesman said that this is the 50th anniversary of the County Fair and that it will be bigger and better than ever and it will be held at the County Fairgrounds in Murray.
