Connie Stevens once considered the play as a Broadway vehicle, she noted, but circumstances prevented that from happening. Twice the play was voted by California patrons as best play of the year. Running through Aug. 11, April Ann stars Nancy Flamm and Marydee Potter alternating in the title role. Male leads include Robert Poll and John Hale alternating as Larry, with Mark Dietlein as Art. Children in the cast are Edith she was 12 years old, had never been away from her home, Mrs. Hale noted. She was 18 before one day a surveyor called at their cabin. What a plot for a musical! And thats how April Ann was born." The plot, she noted is entirely different from the Canadian family, which has since been written up in Readers Digest. April Ann has been produced frequently at the Glendale Centre Theatre since it was written, Mrs. SOUTH SALT LAKE. The Canadian wilderness is beautiful, remote and lonely.. Just to survive there is a task requiring ingenuity and hard work. And hard work is what April Ann does best - milking cows, chopping wood, building the cabin and acting as mother to her three younger brothers and sisters. Ma just sort of supervises. One day, however, April Ann beings to feel the churnings within her she cant explain when a couple of young men accidently show up . . . Audiences will laugh and want to sing plong as April awkwardly encounters men for the first time when April Ann opens tomorrow (Friday) at the Hale Center training and rehabilitation services, individuals cannot many deaf-blin- d procure the services necessary to provide them with opportunities to reach their potential as contributing, productive citizens. This lack of services wastes a tremendous wealth of human resources. National participants in this special week to salute the deaf-blin- d include the Helen Keller National Center for Deaf-Blin- d Youths and Adults. Deaf-blinpersons are exceptional workers when properly trained. Their dependability and loyalty is often superior to many in the work force. Employment opportunities must be created to offer these people chances to prove their value and worth in their communities. Utah has adopted most of the above into law although I did not support all of them that passed. The fact remains that Utah is such a small state that it has relatively little effect on the facts and statistics that determine insurance rates and availability and so our action merely starts or adds to the solution of the national problem. Nevertheless, liability and tort reform will be with us for quite some time and no solution to the problem will be quick or painless. The real evidence of the dimension of the problem is that several entities are going without liability insurance because of the costs or unavailacciability of insurance. When an dent happens to one of these entities, it can be disasterous, not only to afthem, but to the individual who is accident. fected by the 2x4-- 8 Douglas Fir Rail 1 4x4-- 8 Post Fair 3 4x4-- 8 Good Post 2 Best 4x4-- 8 Post Rebate 2.00 . 195 wtN Reg. $38.71 BEST SINGLE HANDLE LAVATORY AFTER FAUCET Replaces all single and two handle Duralac smoke nandle Exclusive washerless ball control lOVr limited wananty No tools hookup REBATE W4" centers 8600 MODEL Reg. 35.56 TOILET SEAT ROOFING Built to wear longer with corrosive free nuts & bolts. We hear and read of some of the more visible examples of these problems - medical malpractice insurance, product liability, government entitiy liability and the high premium costs or unavailable insurance in several areas. There is no doubt that our state and federal legislatures urgently need to address the situation, as well as the entire American civil justice system in order to protect the consumer and private enterprise. All consumers need protection, not just the ones acutally injured, but the ones paying the premiums. We cannot forget that we, as consumers and business people, ultimately pay for all liability awards either through our insurance premiums or through the products and services we purchase. In the case of government insurance, we pay through taxation. 1 Prestained Olympic Color 1x6-- 6 Spruce 1 Fencing 2x4-- 8 Cedar Rail 2 2x4-- 8 Cedar Rail 1 Rough or Smooth With NOW Some say that our entire free enterprise system is threatened by the problem. It has not come upon us suddenly. It has taken place over the years and appears to generally stem from liberal awards made on various cases, high court decisions, insurance companies response to these awards and decisions and the fact that insurance companies investments went through a period of very high interest earnings and now have dropped to more realistic 59 1x4-- 6 BEST 0Hr) Tim 2 (Good) OUR SALE PRICE 7C mavis, iSr. 20 Year wood glue.
