The theme of the event is Memories are made to be shared. Monday at 2:30 the West Lake junior high band will present an outdoor concert at Golden Manor. Salt Lake Mayor Ted Wilson will speak to residents at 3 p.m. and residents will release helium balloons at 3:30. Those finding balloons are being asked to write a note reporting where and when the balloon was found. We hope some people will write. A note can gladden so many hearts, remarked Linda Meyers, recreational therapist at the center. Residents will hold a baked goods and crafts sale from 11 a.m. to2p m. Tuesday. On Thursday, special Olympics will begin at 10:30, an open house will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. and a family barbecue at 5 oclock Friday will be staff appreciation day. The events are all open to the community and we hope people will support the program and become better acquainted with our people, Mrs. Meyers said.
