Show Open House On Tap Vista Teacher Eyes Retirement TAYLORSVILLE. An open house will be held today (Thursday) to honor Barbara Boehme who is retiring from her teaching position at Vista elementary. An assembly In her honor will be presented at 2:45 and a reception will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Mrs. Boehme is a native of Idaho and attended the University of Idaho South and Albion State Normal. She taught first grade in Georgetown and in Inkom, Idaho prior to her marriage to Ervin Boehme, who at that time was serving in the Air Force. The couple lived in Yuma, Ariz. for five years, then spent eight years in Boise. After graduating from BYU, Mrs. Boehme worked as a substitute teacher in Granite district for many years. She has been teaching at Vista since January, 1969 and remarked that she has had the same room and the same grade, (fifth) throughout the years. My greatest pleasure has been teaching language and music, she said.
