Both brothers are employed full time at Hill Air Force Base and take shifts keeping the store open from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. . " Every day we have been open the business has grown, James said. Weve learned a lot about advertising and techniques to get people into our store. I He said at first their advertising wasnt clear and a Ht of people came in thinking they were selling hides or leather crafts, not coats, vests, purses, and thd other miscellaneous items that they carry. Jeffrey said he was discouraged at first. He said he sat in the store the entire first day they were open and no one came in. You come in and are happy with your work and what youre selling and you sit back and cant figure out why people dont come in. He said he is more enthusiastic now that business is picking up and said just having people come and show some interest is encouraging. The brothers started the business in leather coats, vests, purses, and other miscellaneous items about four years ago by going to the swap meets. James said they started expanding their business from the swaps after theyd gone on a family trip. He said they were visiting some friends in Wyoming and actually sold the coats off our backs while there. He said they then started selling wholesale in stores up there. x J&Js...
