Show 1 Lakeside Resiew, November 20, 10B0, Page New Appointments TB Clinton Ward Members Sustain Bishopric CLINTON Robert Glen Mayer has been sustained as the new bishop of the Clinton 4th LDS Ward. Serving as Bishop Mayers first counselor will be Thomas J. Jorgensen and as second counselor Gary L.. Johnson. Terry Flitton is the new executive secretary. The outgoing bishopric included Val D. Beus as bishop, Neil S. McCrary as first counselor and Frank Tremea as second counselor. , Bishop Mayer has served previously in the Sunday school presidency and as a Seventy. He was the High Priests group leader before being called as bishop. He married the former Marilyn t, and they have five children. He is an electrical engineer at Hill Air Force Base. He has lived in Clinton for 11 years. Jorgensen, the first counselor, was the Elders Quorum president prior to his call. He had served in the Aaronic Priesthood and Sunday school organizations and as a counselor in the Elders presidency. He married the former Linday Kqy Thompson. They have two daughters. Relief Society Planning Event LDS ) k I CLINTON The Clinton LDS Stake Rielief Society is sponsoring a Sesquicentennial Harvest event for all members, their partners, and friends tonight at 7: 15 p.m. at the Clinton Stake Center, 1448 W. 1800 N. Clinton. The program for the evening will be a presentation of narrative or musical sketches, depicting eventful eras of the past 150 years since the organization of the church. Displays will line the walls showing the handiwork of the stake members and historical memorabilia. The evening will begin and end with musical entertainment by a special instrumental group.
