LeGrande Davies, a religion instructor at Brigham Young University, is western regional coordinator for the project and is seeking participants for the four weeks of excavating and 10 days of sightseeing. The site to be opened is called Tel Gerisa, located about 2 Vi miles from Tel Michal where BYU students participated in excavations during the past four years. Tel Gerisa is located in Ramat Gan, a suburb of Tel Aviv, and is less than a mile from the Mediterranean Sea. Tel Gerisa is about 15 acres in surface area or about the size of Davies said.
