Work- 3 High School Groups Will Sing at Festival Three area high schools have been invited to participate in the annual Intercollegiate Choral Festival to be hosted by the University of Utah department of music Tuesday. The high schools are Clearfield, Davis and Layton. They will be joining other Utah high schools for the first choral time in the university-sponsore- d event. The festival will be held in Salt Lake Citys new Symphony Hall. The high school groups will perform from 1 1 o S p.m. There is no official competition, however a judge will choose an standing high school group to perform in the evening with the college chorals. The colleges will perform at 7: 30 p.m. and will include groups from Utah State University, Brigham Young University, Weber State College, Southern Utah State College and the University of Utah. . as judge for the performances. Both the performances afternoon and evening will be free for the public. 1 1 Clearfield Sets Events - CLEARFIELD Spririts will be soaring at Clearfield High School during Spirit Week Wednesday through Feb. 20 as the Falcons prepare for a basketball game against arch-rivLayton High. The activities will begin Wednesday with dress-u- p day. Also, the Region One Solo and Ensemble Festival will be held at Clearfield High that day. On Feb. 19 there will be a pie auction in the lunchroom. Chances to throw a pie in a teachers face will be auctioned. Meet the Falcons Night will be held Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. This will feature the Madres, Falc-ettepep band and other student groups.
