Show Lakeside Clearfield Proposal Crestview Layton Okays Joint Sewer Project GERALD R. THOMSON Scout Leader Honored HILL AFB Gerald R. Thomson, an air con- ditioning equipment mechanic at Hill Air Force Base for 13 years, was recently awarded the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service by the National Council for the Boy Scouts of America. If the project is approved by Davis County, Layton will participate with $18,360 to be used toward to completion of the sewer line. Gearfield and Davis County are to split the $308,000 cost. Clearfield is looking 'at ways to get the work done in kind, and is having good luck so far in accomplishing that, selling dirt for the sewer line, and entering into an agreement with Layton Ross also explained to the council new concepts in park development, like recreational complexes, parks that require fees upon entering and offer an educational experience in return, and parks that are leased from the city to private developers.
