They flew Tues day to Las Vegas with the Howard Fuhrimans. There they met the R. W. Bauch mans, Idaho Falls, Idaho, who flew their own plane first to San Francisco then on to Las Vegas. The Bauchmans were with the Bowens last November on a cruise of the Caribbean. The Bowens plan another trip this month. Leaving Friday, they and their daughter, Jackie, and her friend, Jennifer Larsen, will drive to Los Angeles to visit another daughter and her family, the Richard Williamses. The Bowens will leave the girls in Los Angeles while they fly to Mexico City to join a group from all over the country who will motor on to Cuernavaca, Acapulco and Taxco, then fly back to Mexico City. They plan to return to Logan March 3. Short Story Program Mrs. L. A. Stoddart will give a program on the contemporary short story at a meeting of Clio Wednesday afternoon at the Bluebird. Mrs. C. A. Lundahlnd Mrs. George C. Jensen are hostesses for the afternoon. The Kenneth Vanderhoffs Are off on a three-weevacation. They left Logan Thursday for San Francisco where Mr. Vanderhoff will attend meetings for a few days, then they plan to go down the coast, play in some golf tournaments and visit friends. They will spend time in Arizona before returning to Logan. Study Guild Meet Mrs. Calvin Watts and Mrs. Jay Garrett will be cohostesses for the Logan Study Guild when they meet for luncheon Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Bluebird. Mrs. Richard Howell will give the program. The D. E. Humphreys and the M. W. Merrills enjoyed a short trip to Las Vegas recently. They returned to Logan Thursday. Booth and Mrs. George B. Caine form the commit- a "V Ogdenite, Idahoan Return From Tliree Week Hawaii Trip By Eve Gibbons Enthusiastic travelers, Mrs. Harry Elcock and MTs. E. W. McRoberts, Twin Falls, Idaho, arrived home this week, convinced that others should make the trip to Hawaii. They enjoyed the beach and Ideal weather conditions for three weeks. Among the parties of the week, were two at the Ogden Country Club Wednesday. Mrs. C. J. A. Lindquist and Mrs. W. O. Pell entertained a large group for brunch, and Mrs. Reed Kirk-ham- had an after bowling luncheon for 18. The I.S.A. Junior Ski Races this weekend, provided the impetus for many Ogden families to see the scenic sights of Jackson Hole. Making the trip with their children are the M. Earl Millers, Paul Goddards, Robert Bauters, William Glasmanns,' Dr. Aaron B. Rosses, Dr. George Lowes, Dr. Charles Penningtons, Dr. D p u g 1 a s Barkers, and the Dean Perkinses. From the Marquardt Ski Club, families who will enjoy the outing are the Arthur T. Cartiers, Ray Roddis, Leonard Wulffes, James Hamil-tons- , Dick Mingos, James Diego, Salmases, David Lowes, Miss Norma Ringenberg, Miss Varine Seegmiller, and Mrs. Barbara Barnes. Monday, noon, the annual luncheon for Lincolns Birthday will be held at the Ogden County Club. Hon-ore- d guests will be Sen. Wallace F. Bennett and former Congressman and Mrs. Henry Aldous Dixon. Wallen-tm- e in rites solemnized Feb. 3 in the Logan LDS Temple. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell S. Payne, Bloomington, Idaho. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs L. C. Wallentine, Paris, Idaho. At a reception Feb. 4 at the Bloomington LDS Ward Recreation Hal, the bnde wore a gown of satin and lace fashioned with fitted bodice, long lilypointed sleeves and a scalloped ballet length skirt. Her bouquet was formed with a white orchid encircled with red roses. Miss Cherie Johnson, maid of honor, wore a red velveteen dress fashioned with an overskirt of white chiffon. Miss Judy Thornock, Miss Linda Hart, Miss Joyce Miss Bonnie Wallentine and Miss Carol Payne, brides maids wore red sheaths. Their corsages were of white carnations. Sisters of Bride Miss Lana Lee Payne, Miss Jolene Payne and Miss Robin Payne, sisters of the bride, were flower girls. VeNay Wallentine was best man. Sterling Wallentine was usher.
