Show The Salt Lake Tribune, Sunday, February 12, 1961 6m Mr. Lee Claims Bride in East To the professional organ music of Purcells Trumpet Miss Jeanne Voluntary, Croswell Mitchell, on the arm of her father, ascended the aisle to become the bride of James Bracken Lee, The wedding took place Feb. 4 at Christ Episcopal Church, Kensington, Md. The Rev. Gerald H. Catlin, minister, officiated at the ceremony before a candle-lightealtar flanked with urns of white blossoms. The bride is a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Alfred King Mitchell, Kensington. The bridegroom Is a son of Mayor and Mrs. J. Bracken Lee, d 2031 Laird Ave. (1200 South). A gown of Ivory pure silk peau de soie with an empire skirt extending into a chapel train- - was selected by the bride for her wedding. The scalloped neckline and bodice were adorned with Alencon lace. Appliques of lace also enhanced the skirt. Her Mantilla veil of double Illusion was edged in Chantilly lace. The lace was from the brides mothers wedding gown. She carried a bouquet of deep red roses, Ivory pink elf roses and white stepha-notis- . Miss Sherri Quigley Announces I f t'll -- " . Attending the bride were Charles Edward Cambridge, Mass., matron of honor; Mrs. Frances Mitchell, sister .pf the bride, and Mrs. Kenneth W. Fink, Blacksburg, Va. They wore American Beauty red velveteen dresses with long sleeves and bell skirts. They wore matching bandeaux in their hair. Mrs. Bidwell carried white carnations and stephanotis and the others carried bouquets of pale pink carnations. Serve As Ushers John Galanis, Salt Lake City, was best man. Ushers were Capt. William F. Riley, U S. Army, Greybull, Wyo.; Charles A. Morris, Plain-fielN.J., and John D. Cincinnati. The brides mother wore a gold brocade with blue-gree-n and a small veiled hat. The bridegrooms mother wore a silk brocade sheath in willow green. Her hat was of light brown and green tones A reception honored the couple after the ceremony at the Mitchell home. The new Mrs. Lee selected an Italian knit suit in cocoa brown with a yellow and green flower hat and alligator accessories, a yellow cymbidium orchid and a carved jade and pearl pendant, a wedding gift from the bridegroom for her going away ensemble. The couple is honeymooning in New Orleans for Maidi Gras time. They will make a home in Salt Lake City Northwestern Graduate The bride is a graduate of Northwestern University and she also attended Westhamp-toCollege, Richmond, Va. Mr. Lee was graduated from the U S. Military Academy at West Point and received his LL B. from George Washington University last October. He also attended Stanford University School Bid-wel- , 2 Rice University, Houston, Tex. He la a member of the Rice golf team and won the Utah Junior Open In 1959. They have set June 7 as their wedding date. The ceremony will take place at Crestwood Villa. Bridesmaids will be Miss ft r f Misa Jeanne Larson, Miss Karen S Miss Kaye Chytraus and Miss Vicki Quigley, Matron of honor will be Mrs. Iola Dean. Miss Mlchell Price will be a flower girl.
