Eugene Reid, Ogden, announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss LaGean Reid, to John Patrick Hess, son of Mrs. Arthur Bray, Los Angeles, and Delbert E. Hess,- - Bountiful. May 5 has been set for the Logan LDS Temple ceremony. Miss Reids parents entertained with a family announcement dinner at their home Friday evening. Miss Reid is a graduate of St. Benedicts School of Nursing, where she has also served as an instructor. While in training she was an honor student in pediatrics at Children's Hospital in Denver, and also in psychiatric nursing at Nebraska State Hospital in Hastings. She is a member of Utah State Nurses Assn. Bosses of members of the American Business Assn., Salt Lake Chapter will be special guests of the chapter at a dinner meeting Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Finlandia, 3923 Wasatch Blvd. A highlight will be presentation of a scholarship to a training in speech theapy.
