The guys on the team have really seen a big change in me since I joined the Church, said Richard F. Kay, a player for the Los Angeles Rams. During a recent visit to Salt Lake City, the professional football player explained the events which led to his baptism in April. I was out watering the lawn last fall when the missionaries came by, he said. Since my wife is a member of the Church, I told them I would be interested in hearing about it, but I couldnt see them until after football season was over. The missionaries returned in January and Richard and Sandy Kay began to attend the Seal Beach Ward, Long Beach California Stake. As I studied with the missionaries, Sandy became more active in the Church and we grew closer together, he said. I prayed about what I had learned and things all fell into place. He was baptized April 17 and now coaches the 14 year-ol- d boys in baseball in his ward. His wife works in the Primary. |
