Show 1 Weekend Golden Two pilots for possible TV series, both with adventure themes, are scheduled on Channel 4 tonight, beginning at 7 p.m. The movies are Panache, starring Rene starring Victor Auberjonois; and High RisK, Age, Buono. Indeed Citizen Kane, considered by the movie induse one of the as great films, will be try presented on Gaslight Theater tonight (Ch. 4, 10.30 p.m.) The movie, which stars Orson Welles, is based on the life of William Randolph Hearst. In television and movies, the term Is usually applied to a time when outstanding dramatic productions were presented. When the annual Emmy awards are announced on the 28th annual presentation program Monday night (Ch. 4, 8 p m.) the special drama category will feature more superior productions than it has had in some time. Golden Age, indeed. This past season was one of them as far as dramatic specials and performances went. Look at the programs nominated for the Emmy in the Limited Series Jennie: Lady Randolph category: (hurcnill," Rich Man, Poor Man, The Adams Chronicles," The Law" and "Upstairs. Downstairs. And look at the shows nominated for the Emmy as outstanding dramatic special: Babe, Story of Babe Didrick-soZaharias' ; "A Moon for the Misbegotten, "Fear on Trial," "The Lindbergh Kidnapping Case" and Eleanor and Franklin." It's easy to see why television is bringing new episodes of the e nominated shows back for next season or bringing back the whole series of shows It's easy t n cpQ why the networks are following each other with shows that will follow in the format of the nominated programs. One will be "The White House Years" and the other will he known as "The Years Alone." Miss Alexander, who was so brilliant as Mrs. Roosevelt, will be back for that part again. Hermann, who was FDR, r will appear in the final drama, hut it will have to be in flashbacks, according to the network.
