We study for exams all week and look forward to the gayety of an assembly to forget all classroom cares and to avoid the HORRIBLE fate of "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy and at lunch time some cf us dash over to Grangers Snack Bar and as were drinking a coke, we chat about the latest styles, etc. Going steadily instead of steady is steadily fading away. We talk about Spring and New Crushes. Oh! These are the days! Everything seems to brim with fun galore and then same. The future looks bright for us. It promises us a thrilling tomorrow, and endless miracles, what wonderful days ahead for us teenagers. , Dress Up Day Last week the girls had a dress-u- p day. Dressy dresses and high heels. The guys were very sweet and complimented the girls all day in their pretty frocks. The first few hours went along just fine, but climbing stairs and heels just DONT go together and all the gals were mighty glad to reach home and comfort. Lancer Ballade Tryouts were held Friday for the Lancer Ballade April A Girl to Admire Dont forget to nominate the "Girl You Admire. Give your nominations to either Ike Morrow or Miss Palfreyman. A girl will be chosen each week. Favorites - 19-2- 0. made the dance simply heavenly. Now and then the Lads and Lassies would stroll hand in hand looking at the fabulous decorations and the enchanting settings. They also enjoy tantalizing refreshments. The lilting music Pf Dell Bushs band created a mhgic mood for the f dancers. And then! The big moment. A queen was crowned! Seated on a ping throne, Susan Orr was Crowned Queen of the Prom and her attendants: Marilyn Johnson, Karen Bennett reigned over the festivities of the Prom. The most elaborate dance of the year will be remembered for a long tim. The class officers, Dennis Rasmussen, Danny Leatherwood, Sue Stewart, and Susan Orr, along with others put in many hours and lots of hard work. Those responsible are to be commended for making the Prom so successful, a gala event, a night to remember. Pick of the Week gal and well to lead the Sophoequipped help more Class to a successful year with her competence, charm and poise, is Rea Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Jones of Taylorsville. She has three sisters. Rea is a sophomore at Granger and is secretary of the sophomore class and was chosen queen at the Sophomore Ball. She attended Valley Junior last year and was a cheerleader. Rea is a pretty girl, always smiling and friendly to everyone. She belongs to the Latin and FHA Clubs and her biology teacher, Mr. Hardy, is her favorite. Her hobbies are sewing, swimming and Boys of course. When I asked her to comment on Granger she said: "Its the best school and its a privilege to be secretary of the sophomore class. all for now The Sperry and Hutchinson Company believes that good higher education is important to Utah and her citizens.
