Show Page Six THE DEPARTEE HONORED An attractively arranged bridge luncheon was presided over by Mrs. D. T. Madsen and Mrs. Phil Horsley in compliment to Mrs. Gerald Ottosen on Tuesday afternoon at the Country club. Violets predominated in the purple and yellow color scheme and gave an air of spring to the lovely SOROSIS CLUB CAMPFIRE GIRLS SPRING PARTY OBSERVE BIRTHDAY The Henry Mills home provided the setting for the Sorosis club spring party held Monday night. Patted narcissus, Chinese lilies and hydrange and a mantle arrangement of acacia and daffodils gave the spacious living rooms an air of spring. Mrs. Mills opened the program with poems to spring and the numbers continued with piano selections If I Were a Bird by Ilin-se- lt and The Butterfly Lavalle, by Mrs. W. J. Hillabrant; George Oh Sleep Garland sang by Handel and Thou Art Like Unto A a Flower by Chadwick; Cornin On to Spring, a reading, Mrs. Gomer Peacock; The Selfish Giant", a retold story, Miss Ruth Valentine; Mrs. Earl vocal solo The Star by James H. Refreshments, following the program, were served from an attractively arranged table presided over by Mrs. John Wilkinson and Mrs. Frank Hanson. Covered with an exquisite lace cloth, the table was centered with purple iris and yellow jonquils against a background of white tapers in crystal holders. Flower basket cup cakes and ice cream in fluted chocolate baskets weri) served by Misses Marilyn McAlpine and Lynn Mills. Mrs. Fred Keller and Mrs. Earl McAlpine were in charge of the arrangements for the party and Mrs. Mills was the hostess. table decorations. The mirrored centerpiece encircled with violets reflected tierred crystal holding violets and yellow roses. Tall tapers and purple and yellow place cards edged in gold and adorned with tiny violets completed the decorations. All-re- d, In celebration of the national anniversary of the Campfire Girls all over the nation, the Girls of Price Campfire held a birthday dinner party at the Community church Friday night. The Campfire Girls and the Bluebirds invited their mothers to be guests at the affair. Tempting covered dishes and sandwiches were prepared by the mothers and two birthday cakes with 38 candles the anniversary emphasized theme. The cake made for the Campfire Girls by Mrs. Ed was decorated with the Campfire insignia and the Bluebirds cake made by Mrs. Frank Toth was adorned with small bluebirds. The tables were arranged in a U shape and the guests were seated according to their birth month. Vivian Doss Carol Oman and Nancy Bryner, the creative arts committee, made the place cards. After making their home in Price for the past four years Mr. and Mrs. McAllister and family will leave here soon to reside in Murray. Each ward contributed to the program which provided a variety of entertainment in stunts, skits, readings, musical and dance numbers. Games were also enjoyed. A spring theme predominated in the table decorations and featured a centerpiece of daffodils and pussywillows with tall tapers on either side. Mrs. Branch presided at the table. About 75 officers and teachers throughout the stake attended the affair. The arrangements for the party were in charge of Mrs. Eugene Cromar and Mrs. Carol Olson, table decorations; Mrs. Marie Alger, luncheon; Mrs. Zola Keller, program; Mrs. Rose Dennison, games. A JUNIOR HIGH ELECTS NEW OFFICERS Mrs. William McFadden was elected president of the Price A at the A junior high held last meeting Thursday evening at the junior high auditorium. P-T- A DRAGERTON HOSPITAL WOMEN FETED Mrs. David Speegle and Mrs. L. R. Miller, were at a party given for the Ladies staff of the Dragerton hospital. The party was held at the home of Mrs. Miller. Attending the party were Mrs. Belle Knox, Mrs. F. V. Colombo, Mrs. N. Hackney, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Bennett and Mrs. E. Valasques of Dragerton; Mrs. C. Goldbach and Mrs. B. Manchester of Sunnydale; and Mrs. Helen Zoolakis of Co- lumbia. The guest of honor was Dr. O. Spencer of Sunnydale. The evening was spent playing bunco and refreshments were served to the guests.
