Presbyterian our service next This Sunday of worship will highlight a note of thanksgiving, with our church members and friends sharing in the service by bringing forward their tithes and offerings. Children are asked to bring a food item to the service, to be donated to the Community Pantry. Our choir will sing a special selection on a thanksgiving theme. Our adult class continues to use the book of Romans as its text. Romans 8 will be used Sunday morning. The session will meet at the home of Howard and Nancy Jane Bales at 12:30 p.m. There will be no Jr. High Breakfast club this coming Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. However, all members and friends of the church, of. all ages, are invited to participate in a special Thanksgiving service to be held at the Christian Reformed church, 625 South, Third East, at 10. A freewill offering taken there will go to support C.R.O.P. (Christian Rural Overseas Program). Come and share in a spirit of thankfulness with us at worship! We promise not to let you . down.! . The Campaign for Human Development Collection will be taken up next Saturday and Sunday. His wife died in 1971 and since He and his wife were 1 1 VOUR HITCHER Frank Wood, Fieldings oldest senior citizen, observed his 92nd birthday anniversary Saturday. He was honored by his family at a planned dinner party held at the Fielding ward cultural hall. Wood was born in Farmington in 1884, a son of Jonathon David and Kathleen Blanche Bird Wood. He moved to Fielding with his parents when he was a young man. On Nov. 18, 1908 he claimed Maggie Richards as his bride in rites performed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in Garland a short time before coming to Fielding where they established a permanent home. Wood has been active in both church and civic affairs. He served in the Sunday school superintendency, in 'the MIA presidency and was president of the First Quorum of Elders. He also served as president of the Fieldling Town Board for two terms. that time he has lived alone and does most of his cleaning and cooking. His- daughters and who live close daughter-in-law-s by are always willing to assist and keep an eye on him. He has lovely flowers and his yard is always well kept.
