They attended funeral services for their brother-in-laOdell Redford at Napa. Spending the weekend visiting Mrs. Joseph Stokes and family were Mr. and Mrs. Rick Stokes of Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Estep spent Sunday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hoskins and family in w Ogden. Among those who attended Sacrament meeting in Bothwell Sunday for the blessing of the small son of Danny and Dona Forsgren were Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Lamb of Plymouth, Dr. and Mrs. Don Lamb of Phoenix, Mrs. Joan Gibbs and daughter of Portage, Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Cornwall of Tremonton. The baby was blessed by his father and given the name of Jacey Dan Forsgren. Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lamb accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Lamont Wakely and family of Bancroft, Idaho visited Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hoesch in Clearfield. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Lamb enjoyed Sunday dinner at Maddox Ranch House in Perry. The occasion was Deans birthdasy anniversary. Mrs. Lenore Silvester and Mrs. Mina Ward of Riverside visited Mrs. Loretta Starr Sunday. Lt. and Mrs. Chad Starr and three children have arrived from Fort Lewis, Wash., to spend several weeks visiting relatives and friends in this area before they leave the latter part of December for Germany where Lt. Starr will continue his duties with the US Army. Mrs. Ronda Nelson and son Stony of Torrey are spending a couple of weeks visiting Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Rudd. Mr. and Mrs. Norris Hess visited friends in Salt Lake City Tuesday. Mrs. Penny Coombs of Salt Lake City spent the weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Dean Lamb and family. Ray Whiting accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Thayne Jones and family of Fielding to Logan Saturday to attend the football game with USU vs Wyoming. hosts guests by Flo Munson Weekend guests at the home of Mrs. Nina Lamb were Dr. and Mrs. Don Lamb of Phoenix, LaMont Lamb of Naperville, 111., Rodney Lamb and Dennis .Ward, students at Brigham :Young University in Provo. They also visited other relatives and friends in this area. : Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pierson Saturday were Mrs. Gary Woodruff and daughters Kayla and Kelly of Bountiful. : A delightful family party was .held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hess in Deweyville :' Monday evening. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Udy of Plymouth, Mrs. Gene- vieve Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hess of Brigham City, Mr. and Mrs. Welling Zundel, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Hess, Mrs. Zona Nielson of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Christensen of Grace, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hess of Hyde Park, Mrs. Lenore Silvester of Riverside, Bishop and Mrs. Zane Wheatley of Deweyville. A delicious dinner was enjoyed followed by a social. Visiting Mrs. Ethel Rudd Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Harris of Ogden. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Lamb and family Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Bart Williams and son Biff of Salt Lake City. The two men enjoyed hunting during the afternoon. Enjoying a dinner party at a downtown restaurant in Logan Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Hess and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Udy. An overnight guest of Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Udy Monday evening was their granddaughter Marlyn Kunzler of Park Valley. Mrs. Hazel Hess and daughter Julie Ann visited Mrs. Hess' sister Miss Clara Archibald in Logan Saturday afternoon . Overnight guests of Mrs. Ethel Rudd Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Rudd of Lay-ton. Tuesday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Udy were Mrs. Phyllis Kunzler and Mrs. Lillian Olagwai of Park Valley. ' First Grandchild Mr. and Mrs. Hal Mason are delighted over the arrival of their first grandchild born to Craig and Debbie Mason Hansen of Tre monton Nov. 1. The baby is a girl and will be named Cami Lee Hansen. Other grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Theone Hansen of Bear River City. Great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Marriott of Garland, Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Mason of Plymouth, Mrs. Zina Hansen of Bear River City and Mrs. Ruth Stallings of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Hess spent Saturday visiting Mrs. Hess sister Mrs. Elfie Petersen in Lewiston. Saturday visitors of Mrs. Lor etta Starr and family were Mr. and Mrs. John W. Hess of Tremonton. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Starr and family were Mr. and Mrs. Kim Starr and daughter Jessica of Ogden, they also visited Mrs. Loretta Starr and famiy. Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Peterson accompanied by Mrs. Charles Bourne and daughter Holly of West Fielding met Mr. and Mrs. Charles Christensen of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. F. Allen Baker of Layton, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Peterson of Clinton and enjoyed dinner at a downtown restaurant in Clearfield. The occasion was the birthday anniversary of Lynn Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wakely of Malad were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Steed Estep. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Josephson accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Josephson of Garland attended the art exhibit at the community center in Brigham City Saturday where paintings by Eugene Jorgenson of Tremonton were on display. Mrs. Rick Davis and daughters Katie and Marcie and son Daren have returned to their home in Pocatello after spending a few days visiting Mrs. Davis father Lawrence Archibald. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Williams spent Saturday in Malad visiting Mr. and Mrs. Clem Williams. Mrs. Lowell Hess and two daughters of Tremonton were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hess. Mrs. Clyde Steed and Mrs. Gary Bell and children visited Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Bell in Portage Saturday. Spending the weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Hess was their grandson Ricky Roche of Salt Lake City. Friday Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Estep accompanied Doug Estep of Provo to Escalante on business. They made a tour of the homes of the area seeking treats. The Clynn Richman family also traveled Friday evening. They went to Brigham City to attend a wedding reception. The flu bug has been traveling around, too. It has invaded the homes of the Wayne Earl and Dennis Poulsen families so far. Heres hoping these families make a speedy recovery. The Howell-Promontor- y school held a back to school day Oct. 26. It was a bicentennial back to school day. Everyone who had been connected with the schools of the Howell or Promontry area were invited. There were seven schools at various time in the respective areas. These schools were represented by many teachers and students. The schools involved were Boothe Valley, East Side Promontory, Thistle, Promontory Station, Little Valley, Blue Creek and Howell. Grace N. Baugh was the oldest to visit. She told about the schools of the various areas. the Oldest The year of 1915 was the oldest represented. This was the Howell school. The East Side Promontory school represented back to 1920. The Blue Creek school was represented by students from 1925. Boothe Valley students and teachers dated back to 1928. An interesting story was told about a Christmas party. It seems that Santa was invited to come. Well he made the usual appearance with one exception. He made the arrival by coming 1915 the chimney actually. What a surprise for the children. The seven schools have been combined over the years. They were finally consolidated into one modern school at Howell. The Howell school is an "open school. It is very interesting to visit and see this school in action. Lyle Richman was the guest of honor Sunday. The occasion was his birthday. He was served a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Those who came to wish him happy birthday were the Clynn Richman family of Promontory, Deloy Richman family late of Garden, Mont., now from Randolph. Jerome Richman was not able to attend but was represented by his family of Smithfield. The Gayle Richman family of South Jordon, Joyner Reg. $20.
