Vehicle hits tractor - Obituaries jj Marie Rose Hirschi Mrs. Marie Rose Hirschi, 76, of 700 West Third North, Brigham City, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 1975, at McKay hospital in Ogden after a short illness. She was born March 7, 1899, in Brigham City, a daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Johnson Rose. She was married to Emile Mike Hirschi on Feb. 24, 1921, in Brigham City. She was reared and educated in Park Valley. After her marriage she lived in Perry, moving to Brigham City in January of 1927. She was a member of the Brigham City Fifteenth LDS ward. Surviving are her husband of Brigham City; three sons and five daughters, Carl David Hirschi, Brigham City; Grant Lyle Hirschi, Riverside, Utah; Darrel Glen Hirschi, U.S. Air Force, Elberta, Calif.; Mrs. Dale (Carma) Horton, Broomfield, Colo.; Mrs. LaMoine (Rae) Hurd, Corinne; Mrs. Shelley (Mary) Munns, Ms. Gordon (Rose) Casper, Wyo.; Mrs. Blaine (Elaine) Nelson, Brigham City; 39 grandchildren, PICTURED ARE Sylvia Grimmett, 14, left, and Shauna Hinck, 15, top horse club performers in Box Elder county this past year. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Brigham City Third-Fift- h Ward chapel. Interment was in Brigham City cemetery under the direction of Olsen Funeral service. Lee Hansen Lee Hansen, 64, of Tremon-ton- , died Monday, Nov. 3, 1975, at Bear River Valley hospital of respiratory failure. He was born Dec. 14, 1910, in Tremonton, a son of John T. and Margaret Gardner Hansen. He was reared and educated in Tremonton. He married Melba Elaine Hall on Nov. 9, 1936, in Ogden. He owned and operated a farm in east Tremonton and was a member of the Tremonton Fourth LDS ward. Surviving are his widow of Tremonton; one son and two daughters, A.L. Hansen, Tremonton; Mrs. Richard (Myrna) Alta C. Winberg, Aberdeen, Idaho; Allen Alta Chambers Allen, 79, of Smithfield, died Friday, Oct. 31, 1975 in the Logan LDS hospital of causes incident to age. She was born Dec. 22, 1895 in Smithfield to Alfred Bence and Mary Ann Fishburn Chambers. She was married to Fernando Lowe Allen on Nov. 18, 1916 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died in 1964. She received her early education in the Smithfield public schools and graduated from Box Elder High school. Mrs. Allen was active in the LDS church all her life, serving as both ward and stake Relief society president. She was active in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and had served as a temple officiator in the Logan Temple for 18 years. She is survived by the following daughters and son: Mrs. Bert G. (Maxine) Russell of College Ward; Mrs. Theron (Orris Mae) Hansen of Trenton; Ferrin L. Allen of Brigham City; 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Also three sisters and a brother; Noble L. Chambers, Laura Hansen, Mary Mather and Mell Meible, all of Smith-field. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Smithfield. CARD OF THANKS We, the family of Leota N. Friends may call at Rogers Mortuary in Tremonton from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Deweyville cemetery. Albert J. Reese Albert John Reese, 80, of 1087 Shannon circle, Brigham City died Saturday, Nov. 1, 1975, of cancer. He was born March 8, 1895, in Clifton, Idaho, a son of Edwin and Mary Ann Farmer Reese. He married Mary Beatrice Peterson on Sept. 22, 1917 in Pocatello, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS temple. He was an Army sergeant in World War I. He was an LDS high priest group leader, Sunday school superintendent and a home teacher for many years. He was a farmer, rancher, policeman and a carpenter. Surviving are his widow of Brigham City; one son, A. Ray Reese of Brigham City; two daughters, Mrs. Archie (Ele-norBonberg of Blackfoot, Idaho; and Mrs Walter (Lucille) Hirsbrunner of Soda Springs, Idaho; 17 grandchildren, 45 two brothers, Richard Reese of Nova Scotia, Canada; and Golden Reese of Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Margaret May Huldel-so- n of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Lydia Reese Smith of McCall, Idaho. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Brigham City Ninteenth Ward chapel. Burial was in Soda Springs cemetery under the direction of Olsen Funeral service. Fredricksen, 73, formerly of Brigham City, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 1975 in Whitt- ier, Calif. He was born in Brigham City, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Fredricksen. He was reared in Brigham City. He married Berneice Higgen-so- n on Dec. 2, 1925. Surviving are his widow, two daughters and one son, Joan Fredricksen, Long Beach, Cal- - Girls receive horses in Two youthful horse enthusiasts who recorded outstanding years in Box Elder county are the recipients of two prized animals. They are Shauna Hinck, 15, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hinck, Harper, who received a quarter horse filly, and Sylvia Grimmett, 14, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John Grimmett, Murray, who was given a registered quarter horse. The filly was donated this year by Delbert Holmgren, Bear River City, while the colt was purchased with $300 raised by youths in the county. The two girls, best in junior and senior divisions, emerged as winners based on a point system developed by a committee of leaders. It measured their i.chieve-ment- s in horse club activities, living during the summer with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. 4-- H Bear River Kenneth Paskett, City. A Corinne man escaped serious harm when his tractor was struck by another vehicle west of Corinne. Earl Leon ODell was westbound on Center street when he attempted to turn left and was struck by a vehicle driven by Thomas Frederick Imlay of Murray about 4 p.m. last Friday. Trooper Bruce Black of the' Utah Highway Patrol said ODell was thrown off the tractor and received cuts and bruises. He was treated at Cooley Memorial hospital in Brigham City and released. A Tremonton girl, Jill Fronk of 506 North Tremont, was treated and released at Bear River Valley hospital after a one-ca- r rollover on Rocket Road. Trooper Larry Forsgren said the Thursday accident happened about 9:15 p.m. He said the girl was apparently driving too fast and ran off the road, rolling her auto over. She was cited for excessive speed, he said. A passenger, LaRee George, was not hurt. A Brigham City girl was not hurt in a one-ca- r rollover Monday, a half mile west of Mantua. Trooper Leon Jensen said Eileen Hazelton was westbound, ran off the right side of the road, crossed to the left and overturned, coming to rest in Box Elder creek, facing east. On Saturday, two pheasant hunters were involved in a minor accident on Pack Hatch road. Donald J. Callaway, 607 North Third East, Brigham City slowed for some hunters and was struck in the rear by a car driven by Kim Warren of Route 1, Brigham City. No one was injured. have a nice weekend... . "That shows the importance of education and " learning a second language Gene Thornock Gene Thornock, 49, of 2554 Taylor, Ogden, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 1975, at an Ogden hospital of complications following surgery. He was born June 2, 1926 in Bloomington, Idaho, a son of Ervin and Hettie Smith Thornock. He married Ruth Evans in Preston, Idaho, on April 12, p for 14 years. He moved to Ogden 33 years ago. He graduated from Ogden High school and attended Weber State college. He was a member of the Ogden Thirty-Thirward and was a member of the Retail Grocers' association and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Among survivors is a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Judy) Call, d Brigham City. Funeral services were held Monday in Ogden. Burial was in Washington Heights Memorial park with military honors.
