Mrs. Duggan Allen and daughter Cherri Allen of Ogden visited with Mr. and Mrs. Wendell C. Hall Friday. Cherri recently returned from a vacation trip to Tonga, Samoa and Hawaiian Islands. Dr. and Mrs. Max Conley, son Michael and daughter, Ann of Bountiful visited with Mr. and Mrs. John F. Conley Sunday evening. Mrs. Rochelle Larson attended the BRHS Class Reunion of "54 at the Bowcutt reception center in Tremonton Saturday evening. Others formerly of Portage attending were Noel and Gibbs Nadine Hall Portage Pennings David Gibbs honored at birthday celebration by Maude R. Harris Mrs. David P. Gibbs was the guest of honor at a birthday dinner Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Noel D. Gibbs of Perry Monday. Other guests were Mr. Gibbs, Mr. and Mrs. Donald J. Gibbs of Kaysville and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Nelson of Mantua. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Nelson at their home and returned Tuesday night. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Hoskins attended the wedding ceremony uniting Afton Hoskins of Clearfield and Ruth Palmer of Brigham City at an LDS ward building at Preston, Idaho Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Anderson and children of Wash, visited Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Gibbs Allen and Mrs. Rochelle Larson of Enterprise, Ore. who is visiting at the Allen home. Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Price and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Haney of Ogden hosted an outdoor dinner party for relatives and friends at the Prices summer home in Liberty Saturday. Following the dinner volleyball and other games and an afternoon of visiting was enjoyed. Those present were: Mrs. Louise Allen, Ogden and Portage, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Benson and son Gary of Canoga Park, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Jay Allen and sons John and Jay of Los Angeles, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Southwick and family of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Harris of Portage, the hosts and hostesses and families. Gibbs attended a session and the ceremony at the Ogden LDS temple Thursday morning. Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Vaughn Morris was treated at Tremonton this week for a fractured foot he received when a horse fell on him at the Hupp farm at Hansel Valley. Visit Mother Mr. and Mrs. Don McCrary and family of Bakersfield, Calif, are visiting with Dons mother, Mrs. Pearl McCrary. Before coming here they visited in Ontario, Ore. with Mrs. McCrarys parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs. Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Flint and family visited with Boyces mother, Mrs. Marilda K. Flint and with his brother and sister-in-laMr. and Mrs. VarC Flint and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell C. Hall attended Sacrament meeting at Ogden 59th ward Sunday in the interest of Elder Danny Slater from who returned the Australia mission and was a speaker. Elder Slater is a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Duggan Allen of Ogden. Mrs. Ethel Hall was the guest of her son and daughter-in-law- Perry Pulse School registration slated for Aug. 23 by Mrs. Max Nelson Registration for the Perry elementary school will be held tomorrow morning at the school office from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, , Principal Darel Johnson announced this week. Parents are asked to have money for necessary fees and other school expenses at the time of registration. This year the activity fee is $1.50 per student and school lunch will be 40 cents a day. Students are encouraged to buy $8 lunch cards, not only for their convenience but also to make the school lunch program run smoother. Kindergarten milk money will be $1 per month and again for easier handling the parents are asked to pay for the nine months, $9 at the time of registration. Insurance will also be offered at this time. Also at the time for registration, Mrs. Lois Burt will be at the school to register the students of the fourth, fifth and sixth grade who are interested in the Organ program. Woodhead. Hoskins visited in Arimo with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Gibson. Down from Idaho Mr. and Mrs. Tasman Gibbs of Moreland, Idaho visited Monday with Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Gibbs and Mr. and Mrs. David P. Gibbs and other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Benson and son of Canogo Park and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Allen and family of Los Angeles, Calif, left Wednesday for their homes after visiting for the past two weeks with their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Louise Allen and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Thelma D. Gibbs went to Salt Lake City Thursday on a business trip. She was the overnight guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Castleton and Friday she visited with her son Richard Gibbs at the American Fork training school and the same evening attended a wedding reception in honor of Douglas and Corrinne Sharp Furr at Orem. She was the overnight ' guest of Mrs. Furrs parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dee V. sharp and returned home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Cobia came Sunday to get their children, Rodney, Connie and Lisa who spent the weekend with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Devere Harris and daughter, Lori. Sherry Budge and children, Terrall, Stephanie and Tyler also visited at the Harris home Sunday. Three Sessions This year the program has been set up in three sessions instead of four. Each session will run for 10 weeks, and lessons will be 50 cents per lesson which is $5 per session. There will be a $1 fee at this time also for the cost of materials. Those who wish to do so can pay $16 for the full years lessons. Another change at the school this year will be that the kindergarten class will be held in the afternoons. All kindergarten students will start school at 12:30 p.m. and then will be let out at 3 with the rest of the school. Those who need bussing will be bussed home and the responsibility to get them there will be up to the parents. As the school bells ring out Monday morning at the Perry school at 8:45 a.m. the staff will be about the same as last year.
