They pledge their best efforts in behalf of the community. A recent visitor in the home of DeVern and Cora Rasmussen was their son Brent. He has been travelling around the country for the past several weeks in connection with his job for the federal government. He spent some time in Stockton, Calif., prior to arriving to lend assistance in Ogden. Brent, his wife Jane, and three children make their home in Centreville, Va., just outside of Washington, D. C. While in the area, he visited with his sister, Mrs. Zan Nix, and her two children. He was also a visitor in the home of the Gorden Rasmussen family, in Providence, as well as with Elwood and Ruby Morgan in Nibley. Prior to departing on the return trip to Virginia, he spent' a short time with Ralph, Sharon and Chip Coleman, Honeyville. Santa to Arrive Claus arrives in Honeyville on Dec. 19. He will be greeting the area's children as they arrive to take part in the Honeyville Christmas party. Jointly sponsored by the Childrens Primary and the town of Honeyville, the party promises to offer a good time for everyone, young and old alike. In Harper, Leah and Max Baugh are the grandparents of a new grandson, Justin, son of Bing and Kathy Parkinson. The young boy was born Nov. 27 in Salt Lake City. Ron and Ruth Ann Munns are also the parents of a new boy. Gary Warwood is home from the hospital, following surgery. He is doing very well, and has additional incentive for a speedy recovery in the form of a new daughter, Laurie, born Nov. 10. Move Back Kathy and Paul Buck have moved into their new home. Congratulatiolns to them! One item almost overlooked.. .Mr. and Mrs. Ross Coombs, Honeyville, received a call from their son Boyce, who advised them that he has been transferred to Brooklyn, N. Y. He has been serving his mission for the church in the Eastern States mission. He was also named district leader in his new assignment. Fuhriman and Walter Rex Richards has resigned as a board member due to other obligations and Sherman Earl will take his place on the board. Earl and his wife were also present. Short talks pertaining to the farmers corporation were given by Jerry Cross, Ezra Lakey, Joe Penrod, Walter Fridal and Keith Moss. A question and answer period followed. A quartet from Bear River High school consisting of Janet Francom, Todd Miller, Rick Johnson and Valerie Vance sang two Christmas numbers. She was then chosen to represent the area in competition at Salt Lake City this month. In Deweyville, the Primary Christmas party will be held on Dec. 18, and will treat children of Primary ages. The wards Christmas party will be held on Dec. 22, with a program being planned for that evening. Friday. Special guests were Jerry Cross, Joe Penrod and Pat Atwood from the Ogden office; Roland Bastian, president of the General Board of Cache Junction; Ezra Lakey, of the General Board of Soda Springs. Keith Moss, manager, and his wife, Mrs. Charlie Petersen, to Christmas will also be shown, and candy and nuts will be distributed to the boys and girls. It promises to be an enjoyable evening, and the members of the community are cordially invited to come and share the good times. Cleo Tolman, daughter of D. Firemen respond Brigham City volunteer firemen were dispatched to two minor fires Tuesday afternoon, according to police reports. the local department was summoned to an employee when they arrived the fire was Some grease on a stove in one of the apartments caught on fire. Mr. and Mrs. Don Limb attended a program at the LDS institute in Logan Friday evening where their daughter Cathy sang with a doublequartet. Sunday she sang with the institute choir in Sunday school and in the afternoon sang with the Era Quartet in Providence. Dee Hortin, following surgery at the LDS hospital in Salt Lake City. He is recovering nicely, although he will shortly be returning to the hospital for additional surgery. He will be spending the holidays at home with his family and friends, however. Rodney Nelson has been in the Logan hospital for surgery, also, in an attempt to help correct an old back injury. He is doing quite well, and will be. up and around in no time at all. In the meantime the family is actively engaged in keeping on top of the many chores and other responsibilities of the farm.
