Bob Day reported that the dam and spillway repairs are estimated at four to five thousand dollars. This estimate is based upon a recent inspection by Forest Service engineers. In January, the club will vote to either raise funds for the repairs or to relinquish their water filing on the reservoir. Rick Metzger of the BLM and Bob Day reported on an interagency program concerning Indian Creek. The Forest Service, BLM, and Utah Division of Wildlife Resources will be checking vegetative condition, water quality, flood damage, and other factors affecting Indian Creek above Newspaper Rock State Park. The club may be able to help the agencies with small projects along the creek to improve the $5,000 to help wildlife. Local youth groups could be involved on some of the projects. During future meetings, club members will be discussing the possibilities of constructing a pole fence around Foy Lake and cutting old aspen trees to help The Forest Service has suggested several projects that rejuvenate young aspen stands. There does not appear to be much interest in rasing chukar at this time.
