Show THE SAN JUAN RECORD Wednesday December 3, 1986 - Page 6 Budget increases (Continued from page 1) $1,400 increase to cover added fair judges. The travel and weed control budget was projected at $5,000 less than 1986. The clerk auditor, assessor, hospital, data processing, recreation, treasurer, tourism, and county development budgets anticipated no increases. Representatives from communications, justice of the peace, and the recorders offices did not make a personal presentation. All department heads were advised to be at the December 8 hearing to answer questions and receive comments from the public. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the county court house and public input is solicited. After the hearing the commission will adopt a final 1987 budget. The county tourism and development committee requested that the commission increase the transient room tax from 1.5 to 3 mils. Such an increase would allow financing of all board activities with revenues collected from those who use public lodgings. San Juan County is the only county in Utah that still collects a 1.5 percent transient room tax. National Health Information Clearinghouse 4-- H "Harvey" and the Monticello High cast take a bow following the performance last week. MHS photo MHS production of "Harvey" held over by popular demand by Tracy Tabet The play Harvey, presented at Monticello High School, was a big success. Originally scheduled to run three nights, a fourth performance was given due to popular demand. The play is witty and entertaining, and the characters were portrayed quite well for a high school production. The plot, although manages to delight audiences time and time again. Harvey, a big white rabbit and star of the show, captured the audiences attention with his first entrance. Along with Elwood, hysterical Veta, and over bearing Wilson, a tumult of confusion was well-know- n, mild-manner- created. Many people commented that was the best Harvey production MHS has done. The Drama department of Monti- cello High School is proud of the show and its huge success. ed Exercise keeps you young? to Stephen R. Yamall, M.D., Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the answer is yes. If young is measured by count- According ing birthdays, then exercise is more likely to make you old by giving you more birthdays to celebrate! If by young you mean fit, energetic, enthusiastic, good humored, mentally alert, and excited about life, then its true that exercise will help keep you young. Very few of us would want to be a teenager again, really! Regular exercise allows us to enjoy the benefits of youth, without all of its hardships.
