While some small trade-off- s are okay, you shouldnt substitute sweets or high calorie goodies for a complete meal. Instead, try but balanced eating light, meals that leave room for a few extras. You may find it helpful to keep an eating calendar. Mark all your social events, and determine your daily allotment of calories for the next few weeks. Write down what you eat each day as well, so that you can make sure youre on track. Try to be specfic about where and when youll allow yourself to indulge a bit. For example, eat sweets only on the weekends. Once you have personal rules set in your mind, you can say no thank you the rest of the time.
