Show Aug. 17, 1995 School starts soon; busing still limited by Sue Berk Hilltop Times staff As the end of summer draws near and school is about to begin, parents and students living on Hill need to be thinking about getting to and from school. The Davis County School District is not changing busing services. Last year, in an effort to save funds, the district left more than 3,000 students ineligible to ride school buses. The change made it necessary for some secondary students mostly junior and senior high school students to walk to school. According to the district's transportation office, the district will continue to follow the state's guidelines and provide bus service to students who live outside a two-mil-e limit for secone and a limit for schools dary schools. elementary Without a doubt, walking to and from school can be dangerous for children. Hill officials and local police departments have worked together to establish a safe route for students leaving Hill, especially for those walking to North Davis Jr. High which is almost two miles from the base.
