The air show's theme is "A Salute to Veterans!" especially those of World War II, which ended 50 years ago. The 10 a.m. ceremony will involve the Army's Golden Knights para- chuting with an American flag while the national anthem is sung by Colleen Bott, from Morgan, Utah. There will also be a flyby of vintage aircraft to honor the veterans. Any veteran interested in participating in the opening ceremony should come to the air show's Media Center at 9:30 a.m. Gates to the base will open to the public at 8 a.m. The Media Center is identified on the map on page 17 of this paper and on the map that is on the rear of the souvenir air show brochure that will be given away at the entrances to the flight line area.
