Women's Week festivities iplcainiinied Classes, a luncheon, a brunch, a video festival and an interesting keynote speaker are programmed for this year's observance of Federal Women's Week, April A full five days of training classes are scheduled to be held in Bldg. 1279 in the West Area and Bldg. 244 in the East Area. Sessions will run from 8 to 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. daily. Thirty minutes are allowed between sessions for changing classes. It is anticipated that 250 to 300 students will attend each session. Those attending sessions in the West Area are advised to use the open parking lot west of Bldg. 1279. A video film festival will be held April 22 and 24 in the Poe Conference Center, Bldg. 1295. On April 23, the festival will be held in Bldg. 244. Persons can attend this event on a drop-i- basis through- 21-2- 5. n Preened Falcon announced By A1C Brandy Joersz 388th Tactical Fighter Wing The finest Fighting Falcon in the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing has a symbol of excellence painted on its tail. The head of a falcon is put on each aircraft which wins the wing's monthly F-1- 6 hand-painte- d Preened Falcon competition. The Preened Falcon program recognizes the amount of hard work and dedication which goes into maintaining an aircraft in a high state of readiness. Col. Joseph E. Hurd, 388th TFW deputy commander for operations, presented Sgt. Brian C. Cooper, 16th Aircraft Maintenance Unit crew chief, and A1C James P. Paris, 16th AMU crew chief assistant, Preened Falcon for January. The Preened Falcon selection process involves more than cleanliness. Also considered is the performance data, such as mission capable rates, ground abort rates and the number of sorties flown. The Preened Falcon will remain on each aircraft selected only as long as the winning crew chief is assigned to that aircraft. out the day, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and should park in designated spaces near Bldgs. 1295 and 244. Toastmistress demonstration luncheon meetings are scheduled for April 21 and 25, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Bldg. 1294. The Federal Women's Luncheon will be April 23, 11:30 to 1 p.m., and a breakfast event will be held April 24, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Both events will be held in the NCO Club and will be by ticket only. Diane Brewster-Norman- , president and chief executive officer, St. Benedict's Hospital Foundation, will be guest speaker at both functions. Tickets for this function must be purchased, at $4 each. A special class for the hearing impaired will be held April 25 in Bldg. 1279 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. An interpreter will be provided. No tickets will be required for classes. However, if seating is unavailable at any activity during that time period, a verification slip may be picked up from the monitors. Advance reservations are required for one class first-serve- d e, only. The Personnel Data System for Civilians class should be signed up for prior to April 16 to enable the instructor to order a personalized print-ouThe class is being offered April 21 and 23, 1 to 3 p.m., and April 24, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All personnel, military and their dependents, supervisors, men and women are encouraged to attend. However, base employees must obtain supervisory permission to attend and sign class rosters. Civilian employees will be released without charge to leave to participate in activities as time and mission requirements permit. t. Wing enlisted earn Top Wheels award By TSgt. Terry Walker 388th Tactical Fighter Wing Proper care of mission essential equipment is a way of life in the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing. To recognize those people who go that extra step in caring for U.S. Air Force vehicles, the wing conducts the Top Wheels program. Each month the best maintained vehicles in the Tactical Air Command unit and their operators are presented with a trophy and a certificate to recog- nize their outstanding efforts. The winners of the Top Wheels awards for March are Sgt. Mark Luddington, 388th Aircraft Generation Squadron, in the General Purpose Vehicle truck, and A1C Michael category with a quarter-ton Agnello, 388th Equipment Maintenance Squadron, in the Special Purpose Vehicle category with a forklift.
