The Jaycees annual Christmas lighting program will get underway on Saturday, December 11th, and those people decorating their homes may obtain lights and wiring at cost from the Jaycees, it has been announced by Miles A. Anderson, chairman of the annual Christmas activities. First prize will be $10.00, accord to Mr. Anderson, and will go to the home owner having the best decorater home. Second best home will receive a prize of $5.00. Prizes will be offered for design, lights, and the extent of lighting. Everyone is urged to decorate the front of their homes for the Christmas season, and thereby contribute to the spirit of Christmas in the community. In addition to Santa's visit, there will be many other activities for the kiddies from Nephi, Levan, Mona, Fountain Green, Lynndyl, Scipio, Wales, Moroni, Leamington and any other communities who wish to come. Free Show At 1:30 Saturday afternoon, the Venice Theatre will begin the showine o a free movie for all of the children who can crowd into the Theatre. Children must be under the age of 12. Junior and Senior high school students will not be admitted, however, so that there will be plenty of seats for the younger kiddies. This movie is offered as a benefit to parents who wish to do their Christmas shopping while their children are attending the free show. At 2:30 P. M. Santa Claus will make his appearance on Main Street in Nephi. He will be ushered in by the local High School band and will go up and down main street and into all the stores extending Christmas greetings to the children and people of the entire area who will be shopping in Nephi Saturday, to take advantage of the huge stocks of merchandise and moderate prices that are available here. At 4:00 P. M. Santa Claus will distribute free candy to all of the Children. He will be in the Juab County Court House where he will have his notebook and scribes to take down the orders from the kiddies themselves. Nephi's main street will become a beautiful hall way of multicolored lights at 5.30 P. M. when Santa Claus will officiate at the turning on of the Christmas lights. The majority of the business houses of Nephi are all decorated with their colored light, and City Electrician Ray Powell and his crew of men have been working diligently dur- ing the past few days to get every- -' thing in order. All of the people of the communities mentioned above are cordially invited to bring their kiddies lo Nephi for the Christmas opening and to remain in town all afternoon. Close cooperation by the iCtyp Police force will be given to all activities and every precaution for safety will be taken to avoid accidents.
