Many thanks to cur readers, advertisers and the community for allowing us to serve you for 120 yearsl Life n The Interfaith Creche Exhibit 2000. sponsored by the Midway Utah Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be held Dec. 1 through 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Midway Stake Center. 165 North Center. Midway. In the spirit of the Christmas season, the creche exhibit will be made up of more than 500 nativity scenes from around the world, each celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Hand-crafted creches from Europe, Asir. Africa and the Americas I. Ji:-pL... Each creche is crafted from native materials, including carved wood, porcelain, stone, clay, needle point, straw and seeds. Live holiday music, from woodwinds to strings to piano, will accompany guests as they visit the exhibit. Last year's exhibit drew over 20.000 people. It is expected that this years attendance will exceed that number. Admission is free for both adults and children. It is recommended that visitors come early in the day. and early in the week. Attendees last year praised the event as a way to capture the true meaning of the Christmas holiday, and to see how different cultures portrayed this event through their own perspective and art forms. Park City Rotary is now accepting nominations Nominations for "Professional Citizen of the Year" are now being accepted by the Park City Rotary Club. The annual award is designed to recognize business and volunteer contributions made by outstanding members of Park City's professional community. The Professional Citizen of the Year Award, which began in 1993, is presented each fall by the Park City Rotary Club to a recipient who has made an exemplary contribution to the community through his or her profession, business or employment, and has enhanced his or her professional contribution to the community with volunteer service.
