So it wasn't a strong game offensively offen-sively for Park City. The most successful offensive plays came when quarterback Jake Hanley, back to the lineup after being injured, rolled out and found either Chason Memmott or Barry Ames for a big gain. Memmott had two first downs in the game, Ames had one. The Miners had problems with the Wasatch running game, giving up 298 yards in the game to the Wasatch running backs. Wasatch threw the ball only six times, completing four passes, but their ground game was strong enough to power through the Miners to the tune of 26 points, including one touchdown on an option play that went for almost 80 yards. Junior running back Jake Probst had two TDs, while quarterback quarter-back Mark Pitts and running back J.D. Mair each scored once. "It was a tough game, really," said coach Paul Tomasiewicz. "The kids came to play. Wasatch played a good game." Tomasiewicz wasn't overly concerned con-cerned about the lack of offensive firepower. "Offensively, it seemed we moved the ball. We stopped ourselves," our-selves," he said, speaking of the Miner turnovers. "Give credit to Wasatch. They played a heck of a game. I think they're the best team we've played."
