Show Dr. David Dalton back from tour September 2, 1976 The Springville Hara.d Page Three Dr. David Dalton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Dalton and associate professor of music at BYU, has returned from Europe where he was a guest lecturer at the 4th International Congress of the Viola Research Society held in Bonn, West Germany. Professional violists, . teachers, and researchers from a dozen nations attended the lectures, seminars, and concerts which illuminated the subject of the viola, violists, and viola literature. i Because of his association with the great violist William Primrose, Dr. Dalton was invited in-vited to lecture on "Primrose, i His Life and Influence." During the Congress the newly published "Catalogue of Viola Literature" by Prof. Franz Zeyringer of Austria was presented. This volume represented the most comprehensive com-prehensive and definitive research in the are of viola music to date and will be distributed internationally. Dr. Dalton has provided the English translation for this book. His writings have also been published by The Instrumentalist, In-strumentalist, Orchestra News; and two of England's most distinguished music journals, Music and Letters and the Music Review. ' ...
