In a complicated set of scores, the Region 10 champions placed fourth with their military routine, and tied with Union for fourth place - " ' in dance. They tied with Dixie for fourth place in the novelty category, earning the overall fourth place for the second year in a row. Ogden High School took first in the state competition over second place Logan and third place Pine View. Junior Rachel Jolley was named to the All-State Drill Team, and senior JulieAnn Bowden was selected for Academic all-State honors. The U'ettes executed their competition performances with precision and excellence, giving the large number of their fans ample reason to be proud of them. As UHS principal Robert Stearmer noted after the awards presentation, "These girls are terrific. It's a good day tobeaUte!" U'ettes team members are: Tawna Barton, Rachel Matson, McKenna Wheeler, Kaitlyn Sprouse, Mikenzie Thacker, Brandi Reeves, Rachel Jolley, Britli Dickson, Andrea Wilkins, Mallori Nelson, Heather Simper, Noelle Bailey, Alyssa Irving, Whitney Morton, Ashley Struthers, JulieAnn Bowden, Stephanie Sabin, Marci Van Tassell, Felicia Mayberry, Tenille Collett, Cora Barton and Macy Young. They are coached by Taunia Wheeler, Dacia Jackson, and Megan Hanberg. The U'ettes will present their annual review at Uintah High School on February 15. The public is invited to see the team's competition routines and much more. Road trip to Utah Jazz vs. Sacramento Kings Teens can join the Uintah Recreation District on March 25 for a day of shopping, friends and a Utah Jazz game. Participants will meet at the Vernal Middle School at noon and ride a Wilkins bus to Salt Lake City where they will shop at the Gateway Plaza until game time. The bus will return approximately three hours after the game is over. The registration fee is only $35 per person until Feb. 24; after the 24th, registration will be $40 per participant. The registration fee includes ticket to the game and the transportation. The registration deadline is March 10. Space is limited on the bus.
