THURSDAY, DEC 9 Art Talk at the Kimball Ann Torrence photographed seven National Parks along U. S. Highway 89, a transection of the Intermountain West from Canada to Mexico. Ansel Adams' career began with a Brownie camera and a family vacation to a national park. Both photographers were in search of the character of the American West. On Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. in the Kimball Art Center, Torrence will present images and stories from a highway that Adams once traveled himself. Admission is free Filmmaker's Showcase The Park City Film Series' 5th Annual Filmmakers Showcase will screen films directed by Summit County residents on Dec. 9, in the Park City Library.
