Driver actually began her entertaining career as a musician singing at jazz clubs in London. At 15 she was writing songs, and by the time the '90s rolled around, she had signed a recording contract with Island Records. Her career took an unexpected turn, however, when she was offered a spot in the film, "Circle of Friends." That role led to others, including roles in the film "Grosse Vointe Blank" and "Good Will Hunting" which scored her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 1997. All of this put her singing and recording on hold for a number of years. Driver returned to music singing in LA nightclubs and at the Sundance Film Festival in 2004. That led to "Everything I've Got in My Pocket's" release in October and her current tour, which ends in Park City. For her date at the Eccles Center, Driver will be backed by Marc "Doc" Dauer, who produced her record, and members of Pete Yorn's band and the Wallflowers. With the y solid arrangement of players, her eminently presentable voice, and clean sound Driver brings the tools to deliver an excellent evening at the Eccles. The George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Center for the Performing Arts is located at 1750 Kearns Blvd. in Park City.
