Park City's Andrew Johnson, who opened things with his first gold medal on his 27th birthday (Jan. 3), brought down the curtain with his second title. "I definitely was bogging down in the hills and Johnsons so smooth. He's so good at this stuff." "To race well here, you have lo be in really good shape. You don't get fluky results. You have to be prepared and T feel I am." He also knew he could oul-skate Chamberlain, so when he got within 19 seconds lo slarl the final loop, lie could sense victory "1 knew 1 had an advantage on Dave in skating. 1 jusl didn't know if I'd have enough time."
