The best runners from Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Montana and overseas military bases attended the event. The Utah team placed second to California, and was led by the performances of Elli Reed, who was 10th overall and Rosie Brennan, who took 17th place. The top 24 runners were elected to the All-West Team. The top eight from that team will go on to compete against the top North, South, Midwest and East regional teams in San Diego, Calif, this Saturday.
