Show Are you o true cot foncier? This is the second in a series of articles with reference to felines, and in celebration of Nation al Adopt-a-Cat month. The following column asks, "Are you a true cat fancier?" and is written by Sheri Martinez. Answer the following questions: 1. Do you "own" more than one cat? 2. Do you have any art objects depicting a feline? 3. Are there pictures of cats on your personal checks? 4. Have you rescued at least one stray cat in the last 12 months? 5. Do you own a T-shirt with a cat picture on it? 6. Do you have more pictures of your cat(s) than kids? 7. Do you have regular conversations conversa-tions with your cat? 8. Do you carry a photo of your cat in your wallet? 9. Do you strike up conversations with total strangers in the cat food section at the grocery store? 10. Do you own at least two books about cats? 11. Have you attended a cat show in the last 6 months? 12. Are you on a first name basis with the local vet? 13. Do you subscribe to any cat-related cat-related magazines? 14. Do your neighbors call you the cat lady (or cat man)? If you answered yes to seven or eight of these questions, you fit into the 'average cat lover' category. If you answered yes to between nine or 12 of the questions, you are in the 'serious cat lover' category. If you answered yes to 13 or even all 14 of the questions, you fall into the category of the 'true feline fanatic.' You probably have 6 or more feline companions and split your time between caring for what you ' have and figuring out ways that you can get more. But don't worry. Many people "own" cats and go on to lead perfectly normal lives!
