Show Elva Garner Vaughn Elva Gamer Vaughn, 72, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 1990 in Layton. She was born March 5, 1918, to Phillip Andrew and Martha I. Pin-cock Pin-cock Garner. She married Basil J. Vaughn, Sept. 14, 1946, in Ogden. She lived in Ogden and Layton most of her life. She graduated from Weber High I "W School in 1936. She was a member of the LDS Layton Seventh Ward. She served in Relief Society and many positions in the Primary. She had been a member of the Ogden 14th Ward. She served for about five years at the Bishop's Storehouse in Kaysville. She was manager of the Signal Cafe in Layton for 16 years. Surviving are her husband of Layton; one daughter, Nanene V. Gossman, Layton; two grandsons. Also surviving are three brothers and five sisters, Leonard A. Garner, Wayne G. Garner, Walter P. Garner, all of Ogden; Mamie G. Lewis and Ruth G. Fuller, both Ogden; Lettie G. Stephens, Sunnyvale, Calif.; Norma G. Clark, Kanesville; Neta G. Miller, Payson. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister, Lola Stephens Combe and Grant Garner. Funeral services were held Oct. 10, at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary. Interment Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch. |
