Show Morgans celebrate 50th Jim and Mary Beth Morgan of Bountiful marked their 50th wedding wed-ding anniversary Oct. 10. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of this event on Saturday Satur-day afternoon, Oct. 20, from 3-5 p.m. at the home of Susan and Brent Todd, 118 W. Bayview, Farm-ington. Farm-ington. No gifts requested. Jim and Mary Beth were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Oct. 10, 1940. Jim, son of Lowell and Emily Holmes Morgan, was born in Salt Lake City. He served in the army in Japan in World War II. He was a member of the Lions Club for many years. An active member of the LDS church, he has held various church positions. He was the owner of Morgan Typewriter Company from 1946 until retirement in 1987. Mary Beth, daughter of George and Mary Price Jensen, was also bom in Salt Lake. She was a member of the North Ogden Civic League and a Lady Lion. She worked work-ed as a secretary at McKay-Dee Hospital and at Green Acres MR. AND MRS. JIM MORGAN Elementary until 1987. An an active member of the LDS church, she has hold sundry positions within that, organization. Jim and Mary Beth have six children, Mary Jean Weflter, Bountiful; Boun-tiful; Dr. Kathryn Morgan-Larsen, Phoenix, Ariz.; Susan Todd, Farm-ington; Farm-ington; Jim Morgan, South Jordan; Barbara Dennis, South Ogden; and Nancy Moore, Everett, Wash. They also have 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. |
