Show Scripture class resumes B OUNTIFUL The Tuesday afternoon scripture study class, taught by Dr. John Madsen, assistant assis-tant professor of ancient history, BYU, resumes Sept. 11, at 4 p.m. Location remains where it has been the past two years, the LDS Ward Building, 1 15 E. 2000 S., Bountiful. The class, entering its 1 1th year in Bountiful, will gather each Tuesday, Tues-day, 4-5:15 p.m. beginning Sept. 11 and continue weekly study of the New Testament through April 30, 1991. Attendance in the past has filled the chapel; therefore, those registering register-ing should plan to arrive 20-30 minutes before class to complete the short registration card and pay the $10 fee for the first 10-week sessions. Checks should be made to Church Education System or just CES. Attendees will re-register at the teginning of each of the three 10-week 10-week sessions. Winter registration will be Nov. 20, and the spring registration, Feb. 26. After the Dec. 4 class, there will be a holiday break until Jan. 8. Dr. Madsen's ninth tour through the Holy Lands this past summer further enhances his insight and understanding of the biblical lands. For the past seven years, he has been driving from BYU, and previously the University of Utah Institute of Religion, to teach this weekly class in Bountiful. This is an opportunity for people at all levels of scriptural knowledge to increase their understanding of not only the New Testament, but all LDS Standard Works which will be cross referenced extensively. Study course is under the direction direc-tion of the LDS Church Educational System (Adult Religion Program). This is a non-credit class, and there are no exams. Because of the size of the group, class is held in the chapel, and ladies are asked to wear skirts or dresses.
