Show Ground breaking set for new high school The Davis County Schools Board of Education is hosting a ground breaking ceremony today to celebrate the construction of a new Layton area high school. The ceremony will take place at 2340 North Hillfield Road in Layton, the site where the new school will be located. Festivities will include a short program featuring music by members of Layton High's Laytones, Davis High's Drum Line and the Freedom Singers, a choral group of elementary age students led by Clearfield High choral director, Les Davis. The program will also feature speeches by Davis School Superintendent Dr. Rich Kendell; Clearfield High Student Body President, Mike Monson and Layton High Student Body Vice President, Presi-dent, Ally Olson. A free shuttle to the site will run from North Layton Junior High School, 11 00 W. 2000 N. The celebration will begin at 9 am.; the public is invited to attend. |
