Show Program offered to help gifted adolescents cope t r Benchmark Regional Hospital presents Richard S. Swart, M.S.W., as the director of the gifted and talented tal-ented program at Benchmark Family Fami-ly Care Center. He has become affiliated af-filiated with the hospital's out patient services. The giftedtalented program services ser-vices include: individual, family and group therapy, support groups and tutoring programs. The focus of the program is the assessment and treatment of adolescent and young adult clients who are either high functioning and underachieving, or high achievers who are having difficulties managing their lives. These clients are often very resistive or manipulative and require re-quire a specialized therapeutic approach. ap-proach. Swart received his undergraduate training in psychology and received a master of social work degree from the University of Utah. In addition to internships in mental health, juvenile juv-enile corrections and adolescent psychiatric settings, Swart has taught for the Salt Lake City School RICHARD SWART F In 1989 Swart was an international interna-tional finalist for the Menninger Foundation Post Graduate Fellowship in Clinical Social Work.
