Show Our Headers Write An open letter to j my third grade Dear Kids: You know how much I love you! We do lots of fun things together. I wish some things were different in our classroom. I wish we had white paper that didn't tear when we did spelling or penmanship, so you could see how beautiful your writing really is. I wish we had calligraphy pens, so you could learn writing as an art as well as a skill. I wish we had a computer in our room so you could use it every day instead of for a half hour twice a month. I wish we had clear copies of worksheets and tests, so you could read more easily and understand more quickly. I wish we had enough markers that we could use them any time for art instead of just two or three times a year, so you could choose bright, dark colors when you want them. I wish we had enough different kinds of paper that you could use any time you felt like creating, not just when we are doing art. I wish we had copies of books like Skinnybones and Stone Fox, so that when I read them you could see the words as well as hear them. I wish we had a static machine and other science equipment that we could leave in our room, so you could use it as much as you like. I wish I never had to say "Only one," or "Not this time " because we don't have enough of something. I wish so much for you. Remember, I will love you. Mrs. Kolette McClurg Centerville |
