State audits assure efficiency How the Utah Legislative Auditor's Au-ditor's officer works to assure efficiency effi-ciency in Utah's state programs, was discussed by Lynn Freed Cartwright Cart-wright of the Auditor General's staff, at the Nov. 2 meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Bountiful. As she concluded her presentation presenta-tion of the process by which state programs are audited to determine effectiveness in meeting legislative expectations, including evaluation of goals and results, she reported on and answered questions about reports which had drawn a great deal of attention from the public and had received heavy newspapers, newspap-ers, radio and TV coverage. Most of the questions and responses re-sponses centered on Timpanogas, education, health, and personnel management. She included an invitation to obtain copies of performance reviews re-views and study them by contacting the auditor general's office.
